A somewhat different and new SEFIRO version were recently delivered to the company Jozef Hermans -Industrial Movers- from Venlo - The Netherlands. CEO Jos Hermans explicitly requested a SEFIRO with a 400 volt drive unit, so that the power supply can be provided either from the local power grid or from a power generator. Depending on the required power, the vehicle can be supplied with any current from 32 to 128 amps. For eventualities, the drive concept is supplemented by an additional diesel power pack.

The base unit consists of 2-axle lines and the 400 volt power pack which is integrated in the unit. 2 additional, each 1-axle line additional modules can be coupled as desired, so that a payload according to the requirements and space conditions of approx. 70 to. up to 140 tons. is possible. Thanks to the modular design, subsequent extensions are always possible without restrictions.

The SEFIRO has been always in use since the recent delivery. The Hermans company is delighted with the extremely low overall height, the comfortable stroke or axle compensation and the 100% maintenance-free axle suspension. An important safety aspect is, that the platform do not move any millimetre during changing the steering programs. With a total of 10 different steering programs and the “Independence steering”, the SEFIRO can actually be maneuvered into every corner.

In the course of the Neuenstein trade show at September 21st and 22nd, 2019 we opened our gates and invited to open doors days. The special highlight of the entire trade show was the rocknight with "The Blacks" and "Extasy", a professional stage including a spectacular lighting and pyrotechnics show.

We welcomed around 200 customers and business partners from numerous countries. Over the weekend, and especially during the rocknight, several hundred visitors came, which gave the event the necessary framework.

Over the whole weekend we presented ourselves with several exhibits and product presentations. For example, several SEFIRO heavy-duty trailers were presented in different implementations. A special development of this self-propelled heavy-duty trailer was successfully accepted by our representative in Japan -Fujishiro Motors-. Both friends and business partners of Fujishiro and the Japanese end customer made the long journey from Japan to Neuenstein. Furthermore, we presented a rail-bounded!! lifting system in the 700 to. class for ABB transformers with a novel, integrated and calibrated weighing system.

Special attention was also given to a new 160 to. frame railway bridge with integrated and any adjustable rail system for the company Universal Transporte from Paderborn. The combination frame bridge can optionally transport rail-bound vehicles up to a length of approx. 23 meters and, of course, is also suitable for all other heavy-duty goods. Internal electric-hydraulically steered heavy-duty rollers and other exhibits as well as guest exhibitors from other areas rounded off the varied program.

With nightfall on Saturday, many visitors made cozy themselves at the "most stable bar in the world" with just under 1,000 mto. or strengthened by the extensive food and beverage offer. The bar was busy, so late in the day the one or other heavyweight experts trusted the airbrush tattooist and dignified himself. Others unpacked their air guitar and supported the band accordingly or enjoyed the rocknight in animated conversations in the VIP area.

Greiner has recently delivered a SEFIRO in special design with a tool changing system to Schöller-Allibert GmbH in Schwerin and successfully integrated it into the manufacturing process at the customer.

Schöller Allibert invents, develops, designs and produces returnable transit packaging. Schöller-Allibert is active in the key sectors: agriculture, automotive, food, beverage, manufacturing and pooling. Schöller Allibert offers a comprehensive product range with standard and custom-made reusable packaging solutions. Among other things, Schöller Allibert is the market leader for foldable load carriers, beverage crates and trays, stacking containers as well as nest and stack trays, UN certified buckets, plastic pallets, transport trolleys and much more. Among other things, the hydrostatically driven Greiner vehicle is used to change impressive injection molding tools with weights of up to around 100 tons.

The demands placed on Greiner were manifold! Among other things the SEFIRO had to be operated emission-free and have a special tool changing system. A particular challenge was the transfer height of the tools of up to about 1,700 mm. The result was a SEFIRO with electric drive via lithium-ion batteries and a specially developed battery management control system. The hydraulic lift or axle compensation takes place by means of a double steering lift axle with a total of 630 mm lift. With this remarkable stroke, it is by no means inferior to the swinging arm principle with regard to low loading height and in terms of axle compensation. Rather, the Greiner axle suspension system is completely maintenance-free and movements of the platform when lifting or steering are thus excluded. This is an important safety aspect, especially in confined spaces. The detachable tool changing system is equipped with a roller conveyor mechanism, linear guides and a hydrostatic chain drive. With a disassembled tool changing system, the SEFIRO can be used for all other internal heavy duty transports for payloads over 100 tons. Among other things, the hydrostatically driven vehicle has steering programs such as normal, cross, diagonal and circular drive, an electronically-hydraulically controlled synchronisation lifting systems and numerous other features.

High girder bridge - „in a new design"

In August 2018, a technically new concept of a Greiner high girder bridge for the French heavy-duty specialist SCALES celebrated its premiere. A 210 to. heavy Royal SGB-SMIT transformer had to be transported partially under the most difficult conditions and limited space through various mountain villages from Goncelin via La-Rochette over the Isere river to Aigueblanche in the Rhone Alps near Grenoble. When crossing the Isere, the lane of oncoming traffic had to be used and the platform trailers drove offset on both lanes.

As far back as 2013 a 500 to. combination scissor lift bridge from Greiner has been in regular use at SCALES. It was therefore high time for the "KBH-500" to procure a small brother.

In particular, but not only for transport through narrow mountain villages, a system was required that tapers at the end faces and thus can be "threaded" through narrow mountain villages particularly narrow passages. In some local crossings in the Alps there are sometimes only a few centimeters between buildings and the transport train available as clearance. The specialists at Greiner have realized this through a novel hydraulic-mechanical articulated arm extension similar to a hinge system. The broadening is hydraulically stepless and the cross struts between the right and left carrier strand grow without disassembly to the required loading width. Another requirement of the customer was an extremely light weight, which was already part of the contract when awarded, and in the course of construction and manufacturing was still below the required weight. Thanks to the modular design principle, the high-girder bridge can be retrofit at any time with Z-girders and other accessories so that, if required, a low-girder version can be presented. The "small" scissor lift bridge is suitable for loads up to 225 tons at max. 2 x 14 axle lines. The proven scissor lift principle provides 1,800 mm lift. All functions of the scissor lift bridge are controlled by a radio remote control.
